STUDIO POLICY
Mission Statement
At Vibe Choreography our program is designed for your inner dancer to grow individually. We are dedicated to offering small group classes with a high standard of technique, style and performance. Through discipline, encouragement and hard work, excellence can be achieved by gradually increasing the level of dancing. In order to accomplish these goals, core values in integrity, respect, responsibility, character and professionalism must be maintained.
Teaching Philosophy
It is the philosophy of Vibe Choreography to embrace movers at all levels. Our intention is to create a structured, loving, creative environment where students are inspired to express
themselves through the art of dance. We use a Bollywood routine oriented foundation of
hiphop, Jazzfunk, Fusions, Popular choreographies to create a safe, strong foundation for our students to flourish as they grow and discover their inner dancers. Dance education goes
further than just the dance steps at Vibe Choreography as you will learn proper body
alignment, technique, terminology, and the basic fundamentals needed to pursue dancing.
STUDENT GUIDELINES
- Behave in a manner appropriate to a cooperative group learning environment
- Show respect toward the teachers and other members of the group
- Arrive before the commencement time for class
- Wear appropriate footwear – sports shoes
- Bring a filled water bottle to class
- Turn off mobile phones during class
- No running around the centre, please ensure decorum is maintained while entering and exiting to ensure no other groups are interrupted
*Viewing of classes is restricted to: – Recording/Studio Days*
Students are not permitted to leave the studio without:
A parent or carer
Permission of a parent or carer; or the knowledge of a representative of VIBE.
PARENTS–
- Please watch our monthly newsletters as they contain important changes & notices
- Check the parents WhatsApp group regularly to ensure no important update is missed
- Please supervise your child until the start of class.
- Please collect your child and vacate the centre promptly at the end of class
- It is not possible for VIBE representatives to keep an eye on everyone after the class finishes as we either have back to back sessions or are occupied with packing up, it is parents responsibility to ensure the child is picked up on time from the centre.
FEE POLICY
ENROLMENT IS CONFIRMED ONLY UPON THE RECEIPT OF THE FULL FEE PAYMENT
- Term Fees are due in advance of classes on the last class of the previous term. This is to ensure we don’t overbook and also obtains your commitment for the upcoming term.
- There may be 8,9, or 10 weeks in a term & fees can fluctuate depending on number of weeks as term Fees are calculated on a per class basis
- The Term Fee acts as a term registration, and holds a place in the class even during
absences - There are no refunds or concessions for occasional classes missed, change of mind, family holidays, etc.
Students are welcome to attend make-up classes in lieu of classes missed - Referral discounts, scholarships, discount vouchers only apply for one term and is not a lifetime offer.
Attendance
We work in smaller groups, Please make every effort to attend all regularly scheduled classes.
When you miss lessons, you fall behind and make it difficult for the group to progress. There
are no refunds for any missed classes however options for 2 make up lessons per term will be
offered (either face to face at Werribee South or at any other class running at the existing
centres). If you miss several lessons, you will still be eligible for only one makeup lesson each
month.
Absence
Please notify us 24 hours prior to your absence. Also please notify us if you have any planned holidays or dates you will be away so we can work the best possible option for you right at the
beginning of the term.
Public holidays & other leave
The studio remains close during public holidays/long weekends and school holidays. (special school holidays programs run for kids) If one of the classes falls on the long weekend, the other classes running that week will also not run to align with the learning.
The studio would provide 24 hours’ notice for any sessions that needs to be rescheduled.
As this is a small business run by a few instructors- in the event the instructors are sick the session could be cancelled and options for alternate make up sessions would be offered and will count as an extra make up lesson.
No Refunds
We commit to ongoing cost & overheads based on confirmed memberships we receive. So if
you decide to cancel mid term or plan a holiday midterm which will result in missed sessions, it not only affects our planning but also your child’s learning. We would hate to see you leave, however If you choose to leave the program or if you plan a holiday after committing to the
term there will be no refunds.
